In addition to the regulation of emissions from marine, roadside, power generation, the licensing regime and ambient air quality controls, a number of different provisions relevant to air quality can be found in a number of different laws and regulations in Hong Kong. These include:

1. Dust reduction measures when construction work is being carried out - Air Pollution Control (Construction Dust) Regulation 1997;

2. Vapour recovery systems and emission standards for dry cleaning machines - Air Pollution Control (Dry-cleaning Machines) (Vapour Recovery) Regulation 2001;

3. Emission standards, assessment procedures and requirements for particulate emissions from stationary combustion sources - Air Pollution Control (Dust and Grit Emission) Regulations 1974

4. The prohibition of high sulphur content solid and liquid fuel for commercial and industrial appliances - Air Pollution Control (Fuel Restriction) Regulations;

5. The approval of the design, installation and alteration of furnaces, ovens and chimneys - Air Pollution Control (Furnaces, Oven and Chimneys) (Installation and Alteration) Regulations 1972;

6. The prohibition of open burning of construction waste, tyres and cables for metal salvage, and control of other open burning activities by permit system - Air Pollution Control (Open Burning) Regulation 1996;

7. The requirement that petrol dispensers and petrol storage tanks of petrol filling stations and petrol delivery vehicles to be equipped with effective vapour recovery systems and to observe good practice during petrol unloading and vehicle refueling - Air Pollution Control (Petrol Filling Stations) (Vapour Recovery) Regulation 1999;

8. The restriction of emissions of dark smoke from stationary combustion sources - Air Pollution Control (Smoke) Regulation 1983;

9. Limitations on the volatile organic compound content of architectural paints/coatings, printing inks and six selected consumer products - air fresheners, hairsprays, multi-purpose lubricants, floor wax strippers, insecticides and insect repellents, and requires emission reduction devices to be installed on lithographic heatset web printing machines - Air Pollution Control (Volatile Organic Compounds) Regulation 2007;

10. The conservation of controlled refrigerants used in large scale installations and motor vehicles - Ozone Layer Protection (Controlled Refrigerants) Regulation (Cap. 403B); and

11. The prohibition of the import of portable fire extinguishers containing halons from all countries and other controlled products from a country or a place not a party to the Montreal Protocol - Ozone Layer Protection (Products Containing Scheduled Substances) (Import Banning) Regulation (Cap 403C).
