71% think AQOs should follow WHO guidelines [1]

380 out of 532 people responding to a survey conducted by Lingnan University on behalf of Greenpeace agreed or strongly agreed that the government should adopt the WHO guidelines on air quality, regardless of cost. 80% of respondents found the air only satisfactory 50% of the time in the year. Greenpeace estimates that current levels of air pollution in Causeway Bay will fall within the new AQOs proposed by the government 84% of the time implying that the government’s guidelines are insufficient.
